Turkey is a republic country, which means that there is no king and queen anymore. This means that your diploma or ÖSYM certificate doesn’t need a royal signature on it. You don’t need an apostille to prove that your diploma or ÖSYM certificate has been issued by the Ministry of Education. It is enough to show the original diploma or ÖSYM certificate with the official seal.
You should know that the certificate must be printed on paper. The diploma or ÖSYM certificate can be in English, Turkish, or another language.
What about the apostilles? In order to get a Turkish apostille, you should have the original document. In this case, it is translated by a sworn translator. The Apostille in Turkey certificate must be notarized at the nearest Turkish consulate. After that, it is sent to the Turkish embassy and the Turkish consulate in the state where the certificate was issued. In some cases, a visa is required to be obtained.
This is because Turkish government requires an apostille for all documents that are going out of the country. You should know that the certificate must be printed on the original document. If the certificate does not come with a stamp from the Ministry of Education, you cannot apply for an apostille.
